Michael "Voe Vegas" Harrison
Michael "Voe Vegas" Harrison, the 1st born son of Emily & Michael, was born on August 26, 1969 in New York City. While growing up as a child in Harlem, he enjoyed listening to all types of music & realized he had a knack for singing at an early age. Soon after, he joined the choir at St. Charles Borromeo & Minisink Townhouse as well. The Harlem-bred artist's first big break came as a teenager while attending Rice High School. Around 1984, Greg Marius introduced him to Andre Harrell who at the time was forming Uptown Records with the then unknown Teddy Riley. The 5 man group, First Impression, was the outcome & also the basis of the sound "New Jack Swing", later made world famous by Teddy. Always interested in HOW the music was made, "Voe" (short for vocals) went on to purchase his very own studio. "Teddy always told me..no matter what..keep your own studio so you can always work!!" Since then, Michael has achieved success as a songwriter/producer & has written or produced records for R&B divas Zhane', the Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon The Chef, Prince's Paisey Park Music Publishing & Quincy Jones' pop protege Mike Fredo. In 2003, Michael became President of TYCOON ENT..a multi-media company specializing in music, TV & film. "I saw the direction music was taking & decided I wanted to take it back to where I came from...vocals, the right mixture of harmonies & great arrangement. Working with giants like Motown, Atlantic, BMG & Warner Bros. showed me I could do it myself as well. Timing is everything!" The first act to launch was Fortune, who quickly became a household name for show promoters & were the winners of the 1st Ever Underground Award for R&B/Group.
In 2008, Michael and TYCOON ENT. Helped with donated clothing & supplies for those in need in conjunction with Glenn Toby and the Book Bank Foundation in New York
