Harlem Drummers Mission:
The HDSFT organization is a vibrant nonprofit organization comprised of 105 students ranging in age from 6 to 21 years of age. The pupils work in many areas of performance arts including dance, drum and percussion, precision marching, brass instrumental renditions, and acrobatics/floor gymnastics. The exciting cross-fertilization of ideas and skills that result from this diversity of performance arts forms is reflected in many performance arts parades and appearances in which the youth participate each year. This range of courses also offers students increased flexibility in developing skills and creativity in preparation for recreational or professional success. Our goal is to provide our participants with the cultural and civic guidence, assistance in completing college applications, financial aid, resume compositions, letter of reference, and scholarship or grant information, in addition entrepreneurship.
